The SNUG committee is proud to announce the third GOLD sponsor for the 2018 two-day SNUG workshop being held in Hamilton in November.
Spunlite Poles are our third confirmed GOLD sponsor.
Spunlite as the third GOLD Sponsor are the final gold sponsor for the SNUG 2018 annual workshop.
We are securing our Silver sponsors at present, and will be announcing them over the coming weeks.
I'm sure most of you know who Spunlite Poles are, but here are a few words about them.
Spunlite Poles has a proud tradition and reputation for the innovative design and manufacture of a wide range of lighting, traffic, and communications poles and columns since 1962.
Spunlite has been manufacturing poles and columns from its Christchurch site ever since, being privately owned allows the company to be agile and move with market trends. The factory is still manufacturing Octagonal Street Lighting poles, competing directly with product imported from Asia. Spunlite Poles’ strength is its diversity, as they manufacture everything from Octagonal Street Lighting poles; 16-sided and Round tapered Flood Lighting Columns up to 50mtrs through to Traffic Signal Poles and Communications Towers for all of the mobile phone companies in New Zealand.
With the ability to manufacture and paint on site, Spunlite Poles has become the only pole manufacturer in New Zealand that is a true “one stop shop” from design through to manufacturing of all pole and column requirements
Spunlite is a leader in the traffic pole market and is seen as the leading supplier of all poles and columns to NZTA, Councils, and Contractors alike. With the ability to design on site and provide PS1 certification, manufacturing and paint certifications Spunlite can provide the full “as built” documentation.
In recent years, Spunlite Poles has increased its market position through the acquisition of exclusive agencies for leading international companies including IPL Retention Sockets from Ireland and a range of electrical products, Hawke Chalmit Hazardous Area glands and lighting, and Dr Fischer lamps.
The IPL Retention sockets have been revolutionary in the Traffic Sector as they are high strength and have a reusable design that survives vehicle impact, making it a perfect solution for knockdowns and access-control locations by eliminating repeat excavation, disruption and lowering expense.
This process of agency growth will continue in segments of the Traffic and Electrical, and Electricity Supply industries, further strengthening Spunlite and providing quality New Zealand manufactured and supported products for another 50 years.
Our sponsors help enable our workshop, and the other work done by the SNUG committee. Please remember to support them where you can.
From the SNUG Chair Jeff Greenough, and the rest of the SNUG committee, thank you for keeping in touch.
